             Project management starts at the top here at W. M. Schlosser.  Our President, Andrew Schlosser, plays an active role in each of our construction projects.  The management team includes a Senior Project Manager, Project Managers, Superintendents, and Foremen, as well as representatives from our Safety, Quality Control, and Scheduling departments.  Each of our management representatives follows our corporate project management manual, which has been written, and revised based on years of construction experience.  Submittals, purchase orders, change orders, punch lists, warranty items and other items are all managed systematically and efficiently.

             We have a project close out team dedicated to bringing jobs to final completion.  This team includes some of our finest contract specialists and superintendents.  We make every effort to prevent lingering jobs, and go from substantial completion to final completion as quickly as possible.  No project is complete until President Andrew Schlosser signs off on it.

             Safety is of premier importance at the W. M. Schlosser Co.  Our philosophy on safety is proactive and preventive.  Find the accident before it happens!  We have several full-time safety officers, which dedicate 100% of their time to maintaining a safe work environment.  Every WMS employee is motivated to maintain job safety.  We have implemented a Safety Incentive Program which every month features free lunches and random drawings for television giveaways.

             Our flawless safety performance at the Greenbelt Route Service and Inspection Yard earned the Full Safety Incentive Award from the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority.  Full safety is the standard at W. M. Schlosser.

             WMS offers a full-service Scheduling Department.  Our experienced staff includes full-time schedulers whose sole responsibility is CPM work.  We utilize a state-of-the-art scheduling system with the latest versions of Primavera Project Planner, Aldegraf System, and Sure Trak, as well as a Hewlett Packard Designjet Plotter.

             We boast a proven track record of on-time project completion.  The Center for Veterinary Medicine was completed five months ahead of schedule, and we completed the Renovation of Boilers 1-4 at the National Institutes of Health, two months ahead of schedule.  Through aggressive scheduling and quality project management, we continue to successfully maintain project schedules.

             The W. M. Schlosser Co. has a full-time accounting department dedicated to Payroll, Accounts Payable, Job Cost, Receivables, and employee benefits.  Our accounting records are maintained on CGC Accounting Software.

            Our experienced Quality Control Department assures that all WMS projects meet the highest standards.  We maintain a corporate Quality Control Plan, which covers every facet of the construction industry.  Our QC personnel are among the best in the industry, and therefore we continuously produce a quality product.  The quality of our personnel can be attributed to an extensive training program, which is presented to all of our construction workers at every level.
